PHYSIOTHERAPY PREVENTIVE EXAMINATION (PPE)
Prevention Meets Innovation!
How was Physiotherapy Preventive Examination born?
In 2014, Alain Racine, physiotherapist and founder of PhysioExtra dreamed of a quick and easy way to evaluate his clients to correct asymptomatic problems and prevent the arrival of subsequent pain. Following the development of some protocols and some research, it’s in 2017 that a team dedicated to the development of the concept was formed at PhysioExtra. This team has developed, tested and improved a standardized PPE protocol to prevent MSDs in the adult population. In collaboration with the Master of Physiotherapy program at the Université de Montréal, a pilot study was conducted from September 2017 to April 2018 to explore the perception and impact of PPE on clients and clinicians.
